Join Our Team as a Theatre and Venue Planner
Salary: £45K - £60K, dependent on experience
Are you passionate about creating innovative and exciting performance spaces? Theatreplan is a specialist technical design consultancy, working around the world. We are looking for a talented Theatre and Venue Planner to join our team in central London. We have been designing award-winning venues for 40 years, ranging from international opera houses to new build theatres to motion capture studios. We have multiple new build and refurbishment projects currently in our portfolio.
We are looking for someone with considerable experience in a design discipline such as architecture, engineering, or scenic design, with tangible project management experience. You will have worked previously on designs for theatres and/or other types of venues and/or worked previously within theatres in a technical role.
About the Role
As a Theatre and Venue Planner, you will provide high-quality design, drafting, and document authoring support to our company. You will work on multiple projects simultaneously, contributing your creativity and skills to help create amazing venues. You will have the opportunity to lead projects in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design venue auditoriums from initial concept to construction details.
• Lead projects, ensuring deadlines are met and budgets adhered to.
• Participate in site visits in the UK and occasionally internationally.
• Collaborate with design teams to achieve high-quality outcomes for clients.
• Compile reports, create Revit 3D building models, and manage shared models.
• Contribute to project proposals and competition bids.
You may be an architect, designer, or work in technical theatre. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, a good communicator with excellent written and spoken English. You will be a self-starter, excited about developing a deep understanding of auditorium design and theatre planning.
T&Cs include:
• Full-time role with a hybrid home/office working pattern.
