Condition Reports & Safety Audits

Only by identifying the problems can you start to solve them

Condition Reports

The creative opportunities that come from embracing new technology, particularly stage machinery, often come with a hefty maintenance burden.
Theatreplan staff have decades of experience maintaining complex assets in the UK’s most advanced theatres as well as regional theatres with more modest budgets.

Whatever the scale of your venue we are well placed to offer clear and pragmatic advice on the condition and future cost of ownership of your fixed production assets. Whether looking at a specific item or your entire inventory we can:

  • Assess its condition in relation to regulatory compliance and fitness for purpose.
  • Investigate reliability and availability issues.
  • Estimate remaining life and future maintenance costs
  • Recommend a replacement strategy with estimated life-cycle costs

Safety Audits

Safety is at the heart of everything we do at Theatreplan and we are always happy to share our knowledge and experience to find workable and cost-effective solutions to difficult safety challenges. We cast a very broad eye when assessing a client’s exposure to risk including; rigging, electrical, chemical (COSHH), noise and work at height hazards.

As a mark of our standing in this area, Theatreplan has been actively involved in the development of the new European standard for stage machinery (EN 17206) and retains close working relationships with leading Notified Bodies for the assessment of high-risk machinery.

Deliverables can include:

  • Hazard and risk assessments
  • Guidance on Safe Work Procedures
  • Safety cases
  • Safety action plans
