Working in close collaboration with the client and architects, we provide theatre planning services to balance the demands of audiences and performers against the practicalities of sightlines, circulation, and seating – working with the architect’s aesthetic to create functional design and ensure that scale and intimacy are carefully calibrated, to create the optimum performer/audience relationship.
Theatreplan is at the forefront of flexible auditorium design, having invested heavily in the last few years in using 3D modelling to create spaces that can be adapted for multiple uses.
In a live entertainment venue, the real action is often behind the scenes; public areas and backstage spaces also need expert planning to fully meet the needs of practitioners and audiences.
