Director Roger Fox is one of the most experienced theatre heritage professionals working in the industry today. He chairs the ABTT’s Historical Research Committee, whose work includes advising the Theatres Trust, the National Advisory Public Body for Theatres in the UK. Other team members have run technical departments in historic theatres and, as consultants, can provide innovative technical solutions, in sympathy with the heritage and able to meet the requirements of statutory planning authorities.
Theatreplan can advise on heritage significance and suggest design solutions that respect the heritage of a theatre, ensuring it is protected from damage and preserving the fabric and equipment wherever possible, whilst ensuring it is also adequately equipped for the demands of 21st century theatre production. In doing this we can help ensure important historic theatres remain viable and are therefore conserved for future generations.
